Gwyneth Paltrow is back in business with ‘Iron Man’

I love Robert Downey Jr. I don't want to, but there is something about him that makes me want to watch all of his movies. Is it the oozing neediness that makes the mother instinct take over or is he just that good? Not sure, but I found this picture while trying to find you a picture of Gwyneth's sky-high stilettos. Read the excerpt from the story below and tell me you do not want to see the shoes!

NEW YORK (AP) — When Gwyneth Paltrow made the rounds to promote ‘‘Iron Man,’’ the buzz wasn’t about the Oscar winner’s return to the screen after an extended hiatus. It wasn’t about the curious casting of a serious actress as a superhero’s secretary.
It was about her shoes.
Paltrow’s sky-high stilettos, shoulder-length curls and up-to-there skirts were seen as a sign: She’s shedding her stay-at-home mom sweat pants and is ready to reclaim her throne in the celebrity pantheon.
‘‘In England, there were pages in the newspaper on my various footwear,’’ she says. ‘‘I think there’s some excitement that I’m back in high heels and, you know, being glamorous.’’
She says this while decked out in another pair of killer pumps, with no sense of surprise that a change of clothing could set off a minor tempest of speculation about her life.
Paltrow has what might be called a conflicted relationship with Hollywood. Even when she’s not working, she’s tailed by paparazzi and scrutinized for her fashion, her mothering and her marriage to a famous rock star, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

So I go to A.P. to find these knocked out shoes and none of the pictures show even her feet! Is it just me or do you HATE IT when a fashion magazine mentions in a story what someone had on and then doesn't show us the picture? So wanting to please, I surfed the net and found a website that told me she has worn several funky shoes in four days. Click here, but come back and visit again. Ta-Ta.

Fashion Victim- Don't

According to Wikipedia, A "fashion victim" is a term - claimed to have been coined by Oscar de la Renta - that is used to identify a person who is unable to identify commonly recognized boundaries of style.

Can a dog be a fashion victim or is that term just resvered for his owner. Take the case of Mondex, a 5-year-old Chihuahua, walking the aisle dressed as a scuba diver during a dog show at a mall in suburban Manila on Sunday April 27, 2008. I mean really fad or fashion?

Now girls, we can't go around outside the boundries of style, even with our dogs. That is why we now have this fantastically fashionable fashion blog. Wiki knowlege says, "Fashion victims are victims because they are vulnerable to faddishness and materialism, two of the widely recognized excesses of fashion. According to Giorgio Armani, 'When a woman alters her look too much from season to season, she becomes a fashion victim.'
That is what we hope to avoid. I mean please- there is a difference between fashion and fad.

Wiki says, "A fad is an intense but short-lived fashion. Fads are also by their nature at the extreme range of currently acceptable style, which means they commonly cross the line from the sublime to the ridiculous." I refer to Mondex again.

Sometimes fads are fun. Sometimes I love fads so much (ugg boots) that I don't really care if the fad is over. (You will not get my uggs!)
So fad or fashion? Fun or flop? I'm not so sure, but I sure am glad you got to see Mondex.
